I’m a certified genetic counsellor (CGC and CCGC) with an interest in making genetic counselling and boards study materials more accessible, inclusive and community-focused.

I created GC Boards Companion, a resource to help other genetic counsellors study for the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) and Canadian Board of Genetic Counselling (CBGC) exams.

As I was preparing for the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) and Canadian Board of Genetic Counselling (CBGC) exams, I found myself creating study materials that reflected the language and formats that felt useful and important to me.GC Boards Companion grew from that experience and is intended to be an inclusive, accessible and community-minded resource for genetic counselling learners.The current version includes over 300 study cards divided into six categories: general genetics, chromosomal variations, cancer predisposition, metabolics, prenatal and quick associations.

• Prioritizing non-pathologizing and gender-inclusive language
• Available in multiple digital formats to increase accessibility
• Offered via a pay-what-you-can (PWYC) model, including a free access option with no questions asked
• Based on sources from the ABGC Exam Reference List, which are cited for transparency
